Beegreen
trip to troy, NY

I decided to add some descriptions about my trip. (I'm really bored in the library anyways)

So we set off on Saturday afternoon about 3pm. I was soooo tired cause I had to rush out my lab report due monday morning 9am :S oh well i totally should have started on it earlier but me being me started doing it at 10pm on Friday. how wonderful I finished at 10am Saturday (minus the fact that I had no sleep and felt terrible I thought I was actually quite efficient :P)

Alright, as I was saying, we set off around 3pm and started on our long long drive. We planned to reach at 8pm but hurhur we reached at around 10. (don't ask me why) Tired and hungry, we went in search of food.....

rise and shine in the morning~

I was obviously still sleeping. We had really yummy yummy breakfast at the hotel. (That was like the highlight of my day haha)

And we had to get there at 9am. Oh and something stupid happened while we tried to get there. Cause the tournament is at RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and our driver aka coach aka my roomate's bf printed the map from the facebook group. And following the directions we landed ourselves outside this US armory -_____- which is, obviously the wrong place. When we finally got there, we realised that yea the gym is in some kind of armory place. but who the nut doesn't put the school but the gym as the destination. I mean I don't think the gym map is so good that it knows what's the name of your school's gym.

but anyway we got there and started playing blah blah blah...

This is a picture of the gym = armory place. haha.

oh I need to talk about our pathetic team. My school actually has many many marvelous players. Like seriously this year there was an olympian that came for med school here. And there are like national players and like players that I have no chance against at all. HOWEVER, none of them can actually make it for the tournament. (let me think, one is in switzerland working for a year, and two from med school are too busy, oh and one guy has visa problems, which makes it all very frustrating that our team is so pathetic with all the good players hiden o.O)
*points below* this ended up being our team. 3 girls and 1 guy playing BOTH the co-ed and women's teams. i mean the guy can't play the women's, which leave us lacking 1 player for that team and forfeiting 2 out of 5 games by default.

Like cornell's team has i think 20 over people and look at our team! 4 people! hahaha it's actually quite amusing. this conversation happened many times...

someone: where's your team?
me: here (gesturing the small congregation of 4 people daydreaming)
someone: but where's your guys' team?
me: here (still gesturing to the 4 people)
someone: *stunned*

on the whole it's really fun though. I've never played sooooooooooo much ping pong in a day before. Like we started at 9am and we just played non-stop till around 6pm. Let me count, I played like 3 games for women's team and 7 games for co-ed and 5 more games for doubles. I think I'm superwoman~~~

And here we are... finally finished with the day and all dead tired.

So it was a really short trip and we didn't get to do any sight-seeing. BUT that was hardcore ping pong :P and a really good break from school and midterms.

that's over and *Sigh* here I am, back in cold stinking robarts library and chewing on my immunology notes.
